Book: Priest (Priest, #1) by Sierra Simone

This book was intense, messy, and completely committed to the tension it was building from the start. What stood out most to me was how emotionally layered it felt. It is obviously a very steamy book, but it is not relying on shock value alone. There is real internal conflict here, and that made the story feel heavier in a good way. The main character’s struggle felt convincing, and I appreciated that the book leaned into the emotional cost of desire instead of treating it lightly. The writing had a dramatic, almost addictive quality that made it hard to stop reading. This will not be for everyone, but if you like books that are provocative and emotionally charged, this one definitely leaves an impression.
