What stood out to me most about this book was how much vulnerability it had underneath the lighter romance setup. It would have been easy for a story like this to stay surface level and just rely on attraction and banter, but I thought it had a softer emotional core than I expected. That is what made it work for me. The connection between the characters felt like it was built on more than just immediate chemistry, and I appreciated the way the story made room for insecurity and emotional honesty without becoming too heavy.

The romance itself had a nice balance of sweetness and tension. It was playful when it needed to be, but it also gave the characters enough room to feel like actual people instead of just vehicles for the romance. I think that sincerity is what made it memorable. It is not the loudest or most dramatic book in this kind of genre, but it has a steadier emotional pull that I really liked.

I also thought the pacing worked well. It moved quickly enough to stay engaging, but not so quickly that the emotional beats felt skipped over. Sometimes books like this either overdo the angst or keep everything so light that nothing really lands, and I thought this one found a pretty nice middle ground. Overall, it felt sweet, thoughtful, and emotionally grounded in a way that made it stand out more than I expected.
