This was a quick, tension-heavy romance that I ended up enjoying for what it was. It is definitely more chemistry driven than deeply character driven, but sometimes that is exactly the mood I am in when I pick up a book like this. The attraction and back and forth dynamic are really what carry the story, and I thought that part worked well enough to keep me engaged from start to finish. It had that kind of fast, addictive pacing where you can easily knock it out in one sitting because the book stays focused on giving you exactly the kind of energy it promises.

I would have liked a little more emotional depth, especially in the quieter moments where the relationship could have been developed beyond the physical tension. I do not necessarily need every romance to be super deep, but I do think a little more emotional layering would have made this one more memorable. Still, I had fun with it. It was readable, entertaining, and good at building anticipation between the characters.

For me, this falls into the category of a solid escapist romance. It is not something I would describe as especially complex, but it does deliver on chemistry, momentum, and overall readability, which honestly goes a long way.
